FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PERMINTAAN EKSPOR KOPI INDONESIA DARI AMERIKA SERIKAT

Abstract

The prospect of coffee is promising enough, but the trade in coffee in Indonesia still has a lot of obstacles which are severly enough i.e the excess of production. Some efforts have been done such as increasing the precentage of export. USA as the biggest coffee consumer in the wond becomes the potensial market for Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to know about the factors which influences most toward the volume of Indonesia’s coffee export to USA in the period of 1975-2004. The data which is used is the secondary data which is received from USA statistic (www.bea.doc.gov), International coffee Organitation (www.ico.doc), Direktoral Jenderal Bina produksi Perkebunan and Bank Indonesia. The analysis uses the capital of linier regression.. The result of the research shows that the variable of USA GNP, the price of coffee in the world, the price of tea in the world and the coffee consumtion in USA in the last 1 year have signify impact toward the volume of Indonesia’s coffee export to USA. Prospek kopi cukup menggembirakan, namun perdagangan kopi di Indonesia masih mempunyai banyak kendala yang cukup berat yaitu terjadinya kelebihan produksi. Beberapa usaha telah dilakukan diantaranya dengan meningkatkan nilai ekspor. Amerika Serikat sebagai negara pengkonsumsi kopi terbesar dunia merupakan pasar potensial bagi negara Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap volume ekspor kopi Indonesia dari Amerika Serikat Periode tahun 1975-2004. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari statistik Amerika Serikat (www..bea.doc.gov), Organisasi Kopi Internasional (www.ico.doc), Direktorat Jenderal Bina Produksi Perkebunan dan Bank Indonesia. Analisis menggunakan model regresi linier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel pendapatan perkapita Amerika Serikat, Harga kopi dunia, harga teh dunia dan konsumsi kopi Amerika Serikat satu tahun sebelumnya berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap volume ekspor kopi Indonesia dari Amerika Serikat.
