Abstract
Regency of seaweed culture in Karimunjawa islands. These species are presently being cultivated in various regency with main supply coining from Menjangan 13esar island, Batu Lawan.g, Kemloko, and its nearby island consist of Menjangan Kecil, Karimunjawa (Legon Boyo), Nyamplungan, Parang, Nyamuk and Genting. There purpose of this study were to find out the production, processed and marketing of seaweed (Eucheutna cotionii) in Karimunjawa. The objective of this study was to produce some recommendation for the regional government of Jepara. The method applied in this research is descriptive with case study. The data were compiled from observation and interview. Then the data are analyzed with Cobb-Douglas model and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the multiple linear regression equation for production of seaweed using raft method Y = -13,782 -F 1,031 xi + 0,029 x2 + 0,122 x3 + 2,574 x4 — 0,125 x5 + 0,233 x6. The multiple linear regression equation for production of seaweed using long line method Y = 915 + 2,704 xl — 2,166 x2 + 2,966 x3 + 8,1.81 KI + 0,984 x5 — 1,296 x6. Production factors for raft method to have influence 79,1 % and for long line method 81 %. Area and seedling were corellation with production, so if to acid area and seedling weight regards to increase production. Commonly processed of seaweed by society activities just form neutralized dry seaweed and salty dry seaweed. There are quiet a lot of processed in different form example seaweed chip, wet candied, dry candied, "klepon", beverage and tea seaweed, but its processed if a lot of people to pay a visit Karimunjawa. Non food processed form carrageenan powder not apllications yet. Market prospect of seaweed is too line. But seaweed from this islands not marketable for export. Its suppose less supply cause not extensive marketable. Daerah budidaya rumput laut terdapat di Kepu]auan Karimunjawa. Jens-jenis nunput laut dibudidayakan di beberapa daerah terutama di P. Menjangan Besar, 4atu Lawang, Kemloko dan pulau di sekitarnya meliputi Pulau Menjangan Kecil, .Karimunjawa (Legon Boyo), Nyamplungan, Parang, Nyamuk dan Genting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji mengenai jumlah produksi ,pengolahan dan pemasaran rumput lau (Ettcheuma cottonii) di Karimunjawa. lvlakstid penelitian, menghasilkan saran rekomendasi kepada Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Jepara. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan model Cobb-Douglas dan analisis SWOT Basil penelitian menunjukkan persamaan regresi pada budidaya yang nienggunakan metoda rakit adalah Y = -13,782 + 1,031 X1 + 0,029X2+ 0,122)(3 2,574 X4 - 0,125X5+ 0,233)(5, sedangkan pada budidaya rumput laut metoda long Hue adalah Y= -51,915 + 2,704 Xi — 2,166 X2 + 2,966X3 + 8,181 X4+ 0,984 X5 -1,296X6. Faktor-faktor produksi pada metoda rakit berpengaruh 79,1 Yo dan untuk metoda long line 81 %. Luas lahan dan berat bibit berkorelasi dengan produksi, sehingga bertambahnya luas lahan dan berat bibit ivan mcningkatkan jumlah produksi. Pengolahan rumput taut secara umum yang dilakukan masyarakat masill berupa pengeringan tawar dan asin. Sedangkan pengolahan rumput taut yang berupa keripik nunput lam, manisan basah, manisan kering, klepon, minuman dan teh hanya untuk konsumsi lokal. Pengolahan non pangan berupa te.puttg karagenan belum dilakukan di Karimunjawa.Prospek pemasaran rumput laut sangat bagus. Namun di Karimunjawa rumput laut yang dijual dalam bentuk basah sanipai saw ini belum dapat diekspor. Diduga kurangnya pasokan nunput taut ini menyebabkan belum bisa dipasarkan secara luas.
