Abstract

PT. Kurnia Jati Utama is a wood processing industry. Noise intensity in production room was passing over the threshold limit value (TLV) 85 dB (A). Workers work continuously over 8 hours a day or even more. If that noise exposure expose for 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week, it will induce a sensory neural hearing loss. The Objective of this research was to determine factors that related to SNHL on unit production workers of PT. Kurnia Jati Utama. This observational research used a cross sectional design. Populations of this research were workers at unit sawmill, garden furniture and moulding. Respondents determined by inclusion criteria, and it was choose 60 respondents. Data was analyzed using univariate analysis with frequencies distribution table, bivariate by chi-square and multivariate analysis by logistic regression. Result of research is : (1) 32 respondents (50%) have education to elementary school; (2) It was 23 respondents ( 38.3%) who had sensory neural hearing loss; (3) 39 respondentss ( 65%) had noise exposure more over 85 dB ( A); (4) 30 respondents (60%) have age more than 30 year; (5) 35 respondents (58,3%) have been work less than 10 year; (6) 45 respondents ( 75%) works over 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week; (7) 51 respondents ( 85%) didn't wear ear protector; (8) There was a significant associations between years of work, working hours and noise intensity with sensor neural hearing loss incidence. There was no relation between age and using self protector equipment with sensory neural hearing loss incidence; (9) There was a significant relation between years of work, working hours and noise intensity ( by together) with sensory neural hearing loss incidence From this research it is concluded that : Workers who have been working for more than 10 years, and works over 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week and expose the noise more than 85 dB (A), have risk 99,8% of sensory neural hearing loss . PT. Kurnia Jati Utama, merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pengolahan kayu . Intensitas kebisingan di ruang produksi sudah melampaui nilai ambang batas yang ditetapkan yaitu 85 dB (A), tenaga kerja bekerja secara terus-menerus selama 8 jam sehari bahkan lebih. Paparan kebisingan secara terus menerus lebih dari 8 jam sehari dan 40 jam seminggu akan berisiko mengalami gangguan pendengaran tipe sensorineural. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan faktor-faktor apa yang berhubungan dengan gangguan pendengaran tipe sensorineural pada tenaga kerja unit produksi di PT.Kurnia Jati Utama. Penelitian observasional ini menggunakan rancangan cross sectional Populasi adalah tenaga kerja bagian produksi unit Saw Mill, Garden Furnitur dan Moulding. Penentuan responden dengan 'criteria inklusi di peroleh n = 60 . Data di analisa secara univariat dengan menggunakan tabel distribusi frekuensi dan analisis persentase, bivariat dengan menggunakan uji statistik Chi-Square dan multivariat dengan menggunakan uji statistik logistic regression. Hasil penelitian adalah : (1) 32 responden(53,3) berpendidikan SD; (2) Terdapat 23 responden (38.3%) yang mengalami gangguan pendengaran tipe sensorineural; (3) 39 responden (65%) terpapar kebisingan lebih dad 85 dB (A); (4) 35 responden (58,3%) berusia lebih dari 30 tahun; (5) 36 responden (60%) mempunyai masa kerja kurang dari 10 tahun; (6) 45 responden (75%) melakukan pekerjaan lebih dari 8 jam sehari dan 40 jam seminggu, , (7),.53 responden (85%) tidak memakai alat pelindung pendengaran, (8)% Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara masa kerja, jam kerja dan intensitas kebisingan dengan gangguan pendengaran tipe sensorineural, tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara usia dan pemakaian alat pelindung diri dengan gangguan pendengaran tipe sensorineural; (9) Pada analisis multivariat ada hubungan yang signifikan antara masa kerja, jam kerja dan intensitas kebisingan (Secara bersama-sama) dengan gangguan pendengaran tipe sensorineural Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan yaitu : Tenaga kerja dengan masa kerja lebih dari 10 tahun, jam kerja >8 jam sehari dan 40 jam seminggu dan terpapar kebisingan > 85 dB(A) mempunyai probabilitas mengalami gangguan pendengaran tipe sensorineural sebesar 99,8 %
