Abstract
Leading management and organization theorist have popularized the concept of treating knowledge management as a competitive advantage. They advise that to remain competitive, an organization must efficiently and effectively create, locate, capture and share knowledge and expertise in order to apply knowledge to solve problems and exploit opportunities. Respecting and institutionalizing the role of knowledge and learning may be the most effective approach to building a solid and enduring competitive foundation for organizations. An organization must capitalize their knowledge asset to build a strong strategy. To explicitly the link between knowledge management and strategic, an organization must articulate its strategic intent, identify the knowledge required to execute its intended strategy, and compare to its actual knowledge to revailing its strategic knowledge gaps.
