Abstract
The research conducted in the three insurance companies of Semarang examined the influence Leader Power Factors against the job satisfaction at the sales marketing insurance company. One model has been developed to describe the concepts of Leader Power and Job Satisfaction. The objective of study for influence analysis Leader Power Factors against Job Satisfaction and which model can provide more pricise view of the causality relalitionship Leader Power Factors against Job Saticfaction. The respondents of this research is sales marketing of three insurance company (Bumiputera 1912 Insurance, Bumi Asih Insurance and Bringin Life Insurance). The method of sampling is done by using proportional random sampling. Out of 90 questionare dristributed, 83 are returned, but it only 76 are analyzed. This research used linear regression model with the SPSS 10.00 program aplication to test 5 developed hypotheses. The hypothesized relationship was formulated as a causal relationship. The test result of hypotheses showed that the 5 proposed hypotheses is accepted. It means tha Leader Power Factors (reward power, expert power, referent power, ligitimated power and coercive power) influence on Job Satisfaction. The result of the research showed that the most influential variable with regard to Job Satisfaction is the reward power variable. The secondly most influential is the expert power variable, the thirdly most influential is the referent power variable, the fourthly most influential is the legitimated power variable, while the last influential is the coercive power variable. Accordingly, it can be conclude tha the management of the insurance company needs : (1) A person who can use Leader Power with effective and can motivating employee for do the best task, (2) A person/leader who has interpersonal relationship, wise and fair to his co-worker. Penelitian yang dilakukan di tiga perusahaan asuransi di kota Semarang ini menguji Pengaruh dan Faktor-faktor Leader Power (reward powert, expert power, referent power, legitimated power dan coercive power) terhadap Kepuasan Kerj a Karyawan Tenaga Pemacntan Satu kerangka penelitian telah dikembangkan untuk menjelaskan konsep-konsep faktor-faktor leader power dan kepuasan kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis Pengaruh Faktor-faktor Leader Power terhadap Kepuasan Kerja dan memberikan gambaran lebih tepat hubungan kausalitas antara faktor-faktor leader power terhadap kepuasan kerja. Responden penelitian ini adalah karyawan tenaga pemasaran pada tiga perusahaan asuransi (Asuransi Jiwa Bumiputera 1912, Asuransi Bumi Asih dan Asuransi Bringin Life). Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan proporsional random sampling sejumlah 90 kuesioner didistribusikan, 83 kuesioner kembali akan tetapi hanya 76 kuesioner yang dianalisis. Analisis data penelitian yang digunakan adalah model regresi linear berganda dengan program aplikasi SPSS Versi 10 untuk menguji 5 hipotesis yang telah dikembangkan. Hubungan yang dihipotesiskan diformulasikan sebagai hubungan kausal. Dan hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa 5 hipotesis yang diajukan diterima dan terbukti. Hal ini berarti bahwa faktor-faktor leader power (reward power, expert power, referent power, legitimated power dan coercive power) berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja. Dad hasil penelitian tersebut dapat diketahui pula variabel yang berpengaruh paling besar terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan adalah variabel reward power, yang kedua adalah variabel expert power, ketiga variabel referent power, keempat variabel legitimated power dan variabel coercive power berpengaruh paling kecil terhadap kepuasan kerja. Dengan demikian implikasi kebijakan manajerial meliputi (1) Diperlukan pemimpin yang Superior Leader dan Transformational Leader. (2) Seorang pemimpin hams mampu menciptakan hubungan interpersonal dengan bawahannya, adil dan bijaksana.
