Abstract

Background. Lipid profiles which are generally chosen as laboratory screening parameters comprise of cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL cholesterol and LDL cholesterol, but the cost of those parameters are relatively still expensive, while people often consume high fat in their diet. Oval fat bodies as a marker of lipiduria will be expected as a feature of serum lipids and may be performed as a simple non invasive laboratory test. Ob ective. The purpose of the study was to know the correlation between hyperlipidemia/hypercholesterolemia/ hypertriglyceridemia and oval fat bodies. Material and Method. This study was performed in 66 male and female subjects of hypercholesterolemia and or hypertriglyceridemia of 20 —83 years old, that went on a check up in a private laboratory in Semarang within 3 months (December 2000- February 2001). Sample were taken purposively.The method used in detecting lipids serum was enzymatics ( CHOD - PAP for cholesterol and GPO enzymatic for triglyceride) and oval fat bodies was a microscopic urine sediment examination with Sternheimer — Malbin staining. Result. The results showed that the mean triglyceride value was 210,85 and standart deviation was 131,74, while the minimum range was 76,5 and maximum rate was 1025. Of the cholesterol group, the mean was 230,6 with a standart deviation of 36,43 and a minimum range of 150 and maximum range of 323. Positive oval fat bodies were found on 15 subjects of hiperlipidemia (75%), 26 subjects of hypercholesterolemia (72,2%) and 7 subjects of hypertriglyceridemia (70%). Statistically showed that there werecorrelations between hyperlipidemia and OFB with r = 0,82 and p = 0,01, hypercholesterolemia and OFB with r = 0,84 and p = 0,05, hypertrigliceridemia and OFB with r = 0,76 and p = 0,05. Conclusion. A positive correlation between dyslipidemia and oval fat bodies in urine had been found. Latar Belakang. Profil lipid sebagai uji saring yang umum dikerjakan adalah kolesterol, trigliserid, kolesterol HDL dan kolesterol LDL, namun biaya untuk pemeriksaan ini juga masih cukup mahal, sementara pola makan tinggi lemak masih cenderung di miliki masyarakat. "Oval Fat Bodies" merupakan salah satu petanda lipiduria diharapkan dapat menggambarkan keadaan lemak darah pada uji saring laboratorium secara sederhana , non invasif dan murah. Tujuan Penelitian. Penelitian bertujuan untuk rnengetahui hubungan antara hiperlipidemia/ hiperkolesterolemia/ hipertrigliseridemia dengan "oval fat bodies". Bahan dan Can. Pengamatattdilakukan pada 66 subyek usia dewasa baik laki-laki dan wanita dengan hiperkolesterolernia dan atau hipertrigliseridemia yang memeriksakan diri di laboratorium klinik swasta di Semarang selama kurun waktu Desember — Februari 2001 secara purposive sampling. Metode pcmeriksaan yang digunakan ialah metode enzimatik (CHOD — PAP untuk koles terol dan GPO enzimatik untuk trigliserid) dan mikroskopik sedimen urin menggunakan pengecatan Sternheimer- Malbin untuk "oval fat bodies" . Basil Didapatkan basil Trigliserid (dalam mg/dl) rata-rata 210,85 dengan simpang baku 131,74, nilai minimum 76,5 dan nilai maksimum 1025, sedangkan kolesterol didapatkan hasil rata-rata 230,6 dengan simpang baku 36,43, nilai minimum 150 dan nilai maksimum adalah 323. "Oval fat bodies" positif ditemukan sebanyak 15 subyek dengan hiperlipidemia (75%), 26 subyek dengan hiperkolesterolemia (72,2%), 7 subyek dengan hiperkolesteolemia dan hipertrigliseridemia (70%). Hasil uji statstik menunjukkan adanya korelasi antara hiperlipidemia dan OFB dengan r = 0,82 dan p = 0,01, hiperkolesterolemia dan OFB dengan r = 0,84 dan p = 0,05, hipertrigliseridemia dengan OFB dengan r = 0,76 dan p = 0,05. Kesimpulan. Ada korelasi positif antara dislipidemia dengan "oval fat bodies " dalam urin.
