HUBUNGAN FAKTOR-FAKTOR LINGKUNGAN DAN PERILAKU KADER KESEHATAN DALAM PENGELOLAAN LINGKUNGAN DENGAN KEJADIAN MALARIA DI DAERAH HCI DAN ICI DI KECAMATAN MAYONG JEPARA

Abstract

Malaria still becomes the world's problem including in Indonesia. In the residence of Jepara, malaria is still endemic (annual parasit incidence 2,28%o). Jepara is recognized as one of the anxious places for malaria infection. The highest percentage of malaria in the residence of Jepara happens in Mayong (39,49%). Meanwhile, malaria incident is influenced indeed by the environmental factors and the behaviour of the society including the health cadres in controlling the environment. Therefore, the relation between the environmental factors and the behaviour of the health cadres in controlling the environment from malaria should be recognized. This research • was an analitical research with a cross sectional approach. The investigated independent variables were the environmental factors and the behaviour of the health cadres in controlling the environment. Meanwhile, the dependent variable was the incident of malaria. The amount of the samples were 64 respondents that came from 8 villages of HCI and 8 villages of LCI in Mayong Jepara. The analysis was done by Spearman rank correlation. The result of the analysis shows that there is a significant correlation between the knowledge level and the application of the environmental control with the incident of malaria, and there is no significant correlation between the environmental, factor and the behaviour in controlling the environment with malaria. According to the result, it is needed to attempt a continous guidance for the health cadres in order to improve their knowlegd controlling the environment and a temporary guidance to improve the application of the environmental control which has been good and also to do the advance study. Penyakit malaria masih merupakan masalah dunia termasuk di Indonesia. Di Kabupaten Jepara penyakit malaria masih bersifat endemis (annual parasit incidence 2,28 0/00) dan merupakan salah satu daerah rawan penularan penyakit malaria di Jawa Tengah. Prosentase tertinggi penyakit malaria di Kabupaten Jepara adalah Kecamatan Mayong (39,49%). Sedangkan kejadian malaria sangat dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lingkungan dan perilaku masyarakat termasuk kader kesehatan dalam pengelolaan lingkungan. Oleh karena itu perlu diketahui hubungan faktor-faktor lingkungan dan perilaku kader kesehatan dalam pengelolaan lingkungan dengan kejadian malaria. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Variabel independen yang diteliti adalah faktor-faktor lingkungan dan perilaku kader kesehatan dalam pengelolaan lingkungan. Sedangkan variabel dependen adalah kejadian malaria. Besar sampel 64 responden yang berasal dari 8 desa HCI dan 8 desa LCI di Kecamatan Mayong Jepara. Analisis dilakukan dengan speannan rank correlation. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan bermakna tingkat pengetahuan clari praktek pengelolaan lingkungan dengan kejadian malaria, dan tidak ada hubungan bermalcna faktor lingkungan dan sikap dalam pengelolaan lingkungan dengan kejadian malaria. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut disarankan perlu diupayakan bimbingan kader kesehatan yang berkesinambungan agar meningkatkan pengetahuannya dalam pengelolaan lingkungan dan pembinaan secara berkala agar praktek pengelolaan lingkungan yang sudah baik dapat ditingkatkan serta dilakukan studi lanjut.
