Arrangement Analyzes of Direct Material Purcase at PT. Ulam Tiba Halim Semarang

Abstract

Material Puchase Budget is the important aspect in a producent company. It is always happens because of uncertain production amount, so the arrangement budget of material purchase as must precious arranged to be appropriate with purchase. The good budget arrangement is not interrupts the production process activities. So that the resulted products are in good qualities and sold by the lower prices. This research is caused by the existing of fluctuation between realization with budget (which causes differencesin reality and target) at PT. Ulam Tiba Halim Semarang. The goal of this research is to measure the material needs from 2003-2007, to arrange the budget purchase, to measure most the most economic purchase (EOQ), and the forecast method which most appropriate for PT. Ulam Tiba Halim Semarang. This is a analitical descriptive research. The used data is material purchase data, material cost data, first supply, and end supply data during 2003-2007. By using four forecast methods : Semi Average Method, Least Square Method, Quadratic Trend Method, and Exponential Trend Method. Accounting results shows that the semi average method is 8,21 million kilograms, least square method is 8,04 million kilograms, quadratic trend method is 7,92 million kilograms, and exponential trend method is 7,41 million kilograms. After the accounting for forecast by using those four methods, it shows that the most appropriate for material purchase forecasting for year 2008 is quadratic trend method. For that, it is better for the company using the most economic purchase (EOQ) method in purchasing the material in order to.
