BEBERAPA FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN PEMANFAATAN JAMBAN KELUARGA PROYEK APBD KABUPATEN JEPARA TAHUN 2001 (KASUS DI DESA KARANGNONGKO DAN SROBYONG)

Abstract

Background, defecation in lavatory is the effort to prevent diarrhea diseases. Results of SKRT in 1996, the number of mortalities caused by diarrhea was 249 cases (7.4%). It was a fifth rank. The number of Incidence Rate at Karangnongko and Srobyong villages in 1997-2001 was the highest at Jepara District. To decrease diarrhea cases in 2001, two villages had already received the family's lavatory. Each village received 30 units. Writer is interested to know the factors that have relationship with the using of family's lavatory from APBD project at Jepara District in 2001. Objective, this research is to know the factors that have relationship with the using of family's lavatory and to know the dominant factors. Method, this is quantitative research using cross sectional approach. The number of samples is 60 receivers of family's lavatory (total population). Collecting of the qualitative data used in-depth interview and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Results, based on statistical analysis, it is known that the knowledge, the attitude, the home distance to river, and the sufficiency of water have. significant relationship with the using of family's lavatory. Levels of education, being active of respondents, and habit of defecation have no significant relationship with the using of family's lavatory. The dominant variable is not available. Conclusion, the knowledge, the attitude, the home distance to river, and the sufficiency of water have significant relationship with the using of family's lavatory. Suggestion, giving of the family's lavatory should give priority to people who live near the river and who have no the pit latrine (jutnbleng). To reach the goals of program, it needs effectiveness in marketing through Key Person by using the local media that is available. Latar belakang, Berak di jamban merupakan usaha preventif penyakit diare. Hasil SKRT 1996, diketahui penyebab utama kematian karena diare 249 kasus (7,4%) yang merupakan urutan ke lima. Besamya IR penyakit diare di desa Karangnongko dan Srobyong tahun 1997 — 2001, di atas rerata Kabupaten Jepara. Guna menurunkan kasus diare maka pada tahun 2001 ke dua desa tersebut telah mendapatkan bantuan jamban keluarga masing-masing 30 unit. Penulis tertarik untuk mengetahui beberapa faktor yang berhubungan dengan pemanfaatan jamban keluarga dari proyek APBD Kabupaten Jepara tahun 2001. Tujuan penelitian, untuk mengetahui beberapa faktor yang berhubungan dengan pemanfaatan jamban keluarga dan faktor dominannya. Metode penelitian cross sectional menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif terhadap 60 responden penerima bantuan jamban (total populasi) clan kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam dan diskusi kelompok terfokus Hasil penelitian, menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan, sikap, jarak rumah dengan sungai dan kecukupan air terhadap pemanfaatan jamban keluarga. Adapun yang tidak berhubungan adalah tingkat pendidikan, keaktifan responden dalam mengikuti penyuluhan, dan kebiasaan berak, serta tidak didapatkan juga variabel yang dominan. Kesimpulan, hipotesis yang terbukti berhubungan dengan pemanfaatan jamban keluarga adalah pengetahuan, sikap, jarak rumah dengan sungai dan kecukupan air. Saran, pemberian bantuan jamban keluarga perk diprioritaskan untuk penduduk yang bertempat tinggal dekatt dengan sungai dan rumahnya belum berjumbleng. Guna keberhasilan program diperlukan efektifitas pemasaran melalui tokoh masyarakat menggunakan media setempat yang ada.
