Abstract

The effect of smoking is still one of the world's major health problems particularly in Indonesia. One of.the materials in a cigarette smoke is a free radical that influencies the lipid oxidation process in the body and produces Malondialdehida (MDA) which plays an important role in damaging cells as specially the endothels of blood vessels. This is a systemic and asymptomatic process which could damaged the organs silently. The purpose of this research is to study the relation of MDA Serum and Hematuria Microscopic in healthy smokers kidney. This is an explanatory research and the location of population is Satya Wacana Christian University Salatiga. Forty six urine and serum samples were taken from volunteer smokers as the subject group and 30 urine and serum samples were taken from non smoking volunteers as the control group using a "purposive sampling" methods. The result shown : • The average level of MDA serum of smokers were 0,5 ( ± 0,2 mg/ml) and the average level of MDA serum in non smokers were 0,4 (± 0,1 mg/ml). • The average Hematuria Microscopic of smokers were 4,24 (± 2,09 sdm/lpb) and average for non smokers 1,30 (± 0,47 sdin/lpb). Statistically there were : • No significant diference between IV1DA Serum smokers and non smokers (p > 0,05). • A significant diference between Heinaturia Microscopic smokers and non smokers (p < 0,05). • A strong relation between MDA Serum and Hematuria Microscopic in healthy smokers (r = 0,6, p = 0,001, a = 0,05). Dampak kebiasaan merokok pada seseorang masih merupakan salah satu permasalahan kesehatan dunia dan khususnya Indonesia. Salah satu bahan dalam asap rokok adalah radikal bebas yang dapat mempengaruhi proses oksidasi lipid dalam tubuh dan menghasilkan produk aldehid Malondialdehida (MDA) yang mempunyai peran penting dalam merusak sel dan endotel pembuluh darah. Proses ini berjalan sistemik serta asimtomatik sehingga tanpa disadari organ dalam tubuh menjadi rusak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh radikal bebas (IVIDA) terhadap kerusakan anatomi pada ginjal perokok "sehat" yang ditunjukkan dengan penemuan Hematuria Mikroskopik. Rancangan penelitian adalah penelitian pen-jelasan. Lokasi kotamadya Salatiga Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) diambil 46 sampel urin dan serum sukarelawan perokok dan 30 sampel urin dan serum sukarela-wan bukan perokok sebaga; kontrol secara "Purposive Sampling". Diperoleh rerata kadar MDA serum perokok 0,5 ( ± 0,2 mg/ml) dan rerata kadar MDA serum bukan perokok 0,4 (± 0,1 mg/m1), secara statistik tidak terdapat perbedaan bermakna (p > 0,05). Rerata Hematuria Mikroskopik perokok 4,24 (± 2,09 sdinilpb) dan rerata Hematutia Mikroskopik bukan perokok 1,30 (± 0,47 sdm/lpb), secara statistik terdapat perbedaan bermakna (p < 0,05), antara kadar MDA serum dengan Hematuria Mikroskopik pada perokok secara statistik didapat hubungan searah (r = 0,6, p = 0,001, a = 0,05).
