Abstract

The Lead (Plumbum = Pb) is a main pollutant that is resulted by burning activities of motor vehicle fuel oil. The lead poisoned influence to hemopuitic and cardiovasculer system. The illustration of hypo chromic macrosytic anemia is the characteristic of the chronic lead poisoned sufferer. The aim of this research was to know the relationship between the content of the Lead (Pb) in the blood with the content of Hemoglobin (Hb) at the Workers of Underground Room Parking at Plaza Simpang Lima, Semarang. This was an explanatory research using cross-sectional approach. The population was the Workers of Underground Room Parking. Thirty samples (total population) were taken. The measuring of the Lead (Pb) content in the blood used AAS (Atomic Absorbtion Spectrophotometer) method. The measuring of the Hemoglobin (Hb) content used Cyan met Hemoglobin method. The data analysis used the independent t-Test with stratification and used significance level on 0.05. The result of statistical analysis showed that there is no significant relationship between the content of the Lead (Pb) in the blood with the content of Hemoglobin (Hb) at the Workers of Underground Room Parking at Plaza Simpang Lima, Semarang, 2002. No relationship between these variables is caused by the average of the Lead content in the blood only 0.0395 mg/I. Its condition is below the value that can disturb the Hemoglobin syntesis (0.05 mg/1). Timah hitam (Plumbwn = Pb) merupakan polutan utama yang dihasilkan oleh aktivitas pembakaran bahan bakar minyak(BBM) kendaraan bermotor. Keracunan Pb mempunyai pengaruh terhadap sistem hemapoitik dan kardiovaskuler. Gambaran anemia makrositik hipokromik adalah karakteristik untuk penderita keracunan Pb kronis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kaclar timah hitam dalam darah dengan kadar hemoglobin(Hb) pada petugas parkir ruang bawah tanah di Plaza Simpang Lima Semarang. Penelitian ini mempakan penelitian explanatory dengan desain Cross Sectional. Populasinya adalah petugas parkir ruang bawah tanah. Besar sampel sebanyak 30 responden (total populasi). Pengukuran kadar Pb darah dengan metode Spektropotometer Serapan Atom(SSA), Kadar Hb dengan metode, Cyanmet Hemoglobin. Analisa hasil dengan Independent t-Test dengan stratifikäsi, dengan tingkat kemaknaan 0,05. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan signifikan antara Pb darah dengan Hb pada petugas ruang parkir bawah tanah di Plaza Simpang Lima Semarang tahun 2002. Tidak adanya hubungan tersebut disebabkan oleh karena rata-rata kadar Pb darah hanya 0,0395 mg/1, dimana kondisi tersebut masih di bawah angka yang dapat mengganggu sintesa hemoglobin yaitu sebesar 0,5 mg/I.
