Abstract

Four main nutrient problems in Indonesia are lack of protein calorie, lack of vitamin A, lack of iodine disorder, and zinc nutrient anemia. It needs good nutrient to support optimal health and overcome those nutrient problems. People need not only food resources but also food with protein, fats, carbohydrate, vitamin, and minerals. Those five functions are mentioned in Nutrient Media Poster that is media poster of healthy foods. Based on those backgrounds, then the aim of this study is to know respondents' perception about media poster of healthy food, respondents' ability level in memorizing massage in the poster of healthy food and analyzing the relationship between respondent's perception and memory ability of healthy food media poster. The research is carried out in survey method using cross sectional way. The location of research is in an administrative unit II of Srondol Wetan community unit in Banyumanik sub district of SEMARANG city. The samples are 60 respondents. The subjects of research are mothers of under 5 year old children who are apparently health and able to make good communicate. The result shows that most mothers (70%) age of 27-33 years old, high school educated (38,3%), with expense<Rp. 400.000,00,- per month (80%) and work hard as housewife (75%). Half of them (50%) have good enough perception to health food poster media and 87 % of them have good ability in memorizing message about health food. From the result on analyses with the correlation coefficient Rank Spearman test, the significant relation occurs between mothers perception about health food poster media and memory ability of health food, with the p score : 0,002 and r : 0,393. The correlation grade shows the high probability between nutrient media poster about health food and mothers' ability in memorizing health food massage in life reality. This ability will support mothers to serve health food consumption for their family appropriate with the things they saw from the poster about health food. Because of that, the recommendation of this study is to force the developing the form of poster media based on audience segmentation of local objectives so that it is not biased and needs support of deeper and further studies.
