Pemberdayaan Industri Kecil Kerajinan Tembaga di Kabupaten Boyolali (The Empowerment of small industry of copper handicraft in Boyolali regency)

Abstract

Goal of this research was to found about internal obstacles that faced by copper handicraft at small-scale industry within Boyolali regency and formulated an empowerment model or form that appropriate with the current circumstance and problems that being faced and also its phasing process. This research was used a quantitative descriptive method which enriched by qualitative approach. The result of this study show that the entrepreneurs of the copper small-scale industry, in order to develop their business are deal with the various obstacles that nit yet overcome by their selves. They need some interference of the government or other external party as the stimulus to adjacent and encourage them to have mor power. The obstacles that they faced above were: getting harder to found the employee who have skill to form goods, the laow of employee performance ethos, constraints to access the market opportunity, the weak of product design innovation, height of the raw material price and also limited capital that they have. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kendala-kendala internal yang dihadapi pengusaha kecil kerajinan tembaga di kabupaten Boyolali dan merumuskan model atau bentuk pemberdayaan yang sesuai dengan kondisi dan permasalahan yang dihadapi beserta proses pentahapannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif yang diperkaya dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, pengusaha kerajinan tembaga dalam upaya mengembangkan usahanya, dihadapkan pada berbagai kendala yang belum mampu diatasi sendiri. Mereka masih memerlukan adanya peran pemerintah atau aktor lain dari luar sebagai stimulus untuk mendampingi dan mendorongnya agar lebih berdaya. Adapun kendala-kendala yang dihadapi antara lain: semakin sulit mendapatkan tenaga ahli bentuk/kenteng, rendahnya etos kerja pegawai, keterbatasan dalam mengakses peluang pasar, masih lemahnya inovasi desain produk, tingginya harga bahan baku dan keterbatasan modal yang dimiliki.
