Abstract

The development of milkfish and prawn culture in Tunggulsari Village, Tayu District, Pati Regency, beside supported by potential area, also supported by government program (Directorate General of Fisheries Culture) in the form of Fish Culture Intensification Program, that aimed to increase foreign exchange, especially in prawn export. This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of water management by reservoir technology to improve water quality, also to find out its effects on polyculture production especially in Tunggulsari Village, Tayu District, Pati Regency. Method of this research is empiric descriptive. Some analyzed variable are total pond farmer, area width, and reservoir width in the amount of 100, which from these samples taken 10 samples, beside that also total production of polyculture pond for two planting seasons in Tunggulsari Village, Tayu District, Pati Regency. Data was analyzed by Perason's correlation test, sample paired T test and regression test. The results of water management on reservoir systemized pond to parameter of water quality, showed there is significant correlation on ammonia content (P<0.05), Perason's correlation coefficient is -0.758; which mean increasing of reservoir width can reduce ammonia content in water of pond. Based on regression model Y = -4.1e5 X + 2.4634; and -4.1046 of regression coefficient, it showed that 1 m2 reservoir width can reduce 4 x 10'5 mg/L ammonia content, from 0.5803 of determinant index (R2), it can be interpreted that 58.03% of ammonia content changing effected by reservoir width. Based on regression function Y = 384,139 + 0,391 X1 + 2090,739 X2 with F calculated P<0.01; that mean reservoir width (Xi) and pond width (X2) together influencing production. Determination coefficient (adjusted R2) for estimate production (Y) is 0.851; it have meaning 85 10% of production changing effected by factors on equation model. By reservoir technology, it hoped able to fulfil lack of sea water supply problem and to improve water quality in pond, so can increase production and income of fish farmer. Government by its program can determine reservoir technology on pond culture technique to assist development on pond culture area. Pengembangan usaha budidaya tambak bandeng dan udang windu di Desa Tunggulsari, Kecamatan Tayu, Kabupaten Pati selain didukung oleb potensi lahan yang ada juga didukung oleh adanya program Pemerintah (Direktorat Jenderal Perikanan Budidaya) berupa program intensifikasi budidaya ikan (1NBUDKAN) yang bertujuan untuk peningkatan devisa negara khususnya ekspor udang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalab untuk mengetahui keefektifan pengelolaan air melalui sistem tandon terhadap perbaikan kualitas air dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terhadap produksi tambak polikultur khususnya di Desa Tunggulsari, Kecamatan Tayu, Kabupaten Pati. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deAriptif empirik. Variabel uji yang dianalisa antara lain jumlah petambak, luas lahan, luas tandon sebanyalc 100 sampel dari sampel ini diambil 10 sanipel dan juga produksi tambak poli kultur selama dua muslin tanam di desa Tunggulsari, kecamatan Tayu, kabupaten Pati. Analisa data menggunakan uji korelasi pearson, simple paired T test dan model regresi. HasH pengelolaan air di tambak sistem tandon terhadap parameter kualitas air menunjukkan korelasi yang nyata pada kandungan amonia ( P < 0.05), koefisien korelasi pearson (- 0,758) berarti bahwa peningkatan luas tandon dapat mengurangi kandungan anionia dalam air tambak.. Berdasarkan persamaan regresi 11— -4.10415 X + 2.4634 dengan koefisien regresi menunjukkan 1M2 luas tandon nienurunkan kadar amonia 4 x les mgl/L dengan indeks determinan 0.5803 berarti 58.03 % perubahan kadar amonia dipengaruhi oleh luas tandon. Berdasarkan fungsi regresi Y = 384,139 + 0,391 X1 + 2090,739 X2 dengan nilai F hitung P < 0,01 berarti bahwa luas tandon (X1) dan luas tambak (X)) secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi produksi. Koefisien determinasi (adjusted R2) 0,851 berarti bahwa 85,10 % perubahan produksi dipengaruhiloleh faktor-faktor yang ada pada model persamaan. Dengan adanya teknologi sistem tandon, diharapkan dapat menjawab permasalahan kekurangan pasokan air laut dan perbaikan kualitas air tambak sehingga dapat memacu produksi dan meningkatkan pendapatan pembudidaya udang dan ikan. Pemerintah dengan kebijakannya dapat merumuskan paket teknologi budidaya tanibak sisteni tandon untuk niembantu pengembangan kawasan budidaya tambak.
