Abstract
LUCY SUSANDARI. H 4A 001 006. Fat Composition of Rabbits Fed Pellet Diet with Various Levels of Lysine. (Counselor: C. M. SRI LESTARI and HANNY INDRAT WAHYUNI). The research was done from August 2002 to March 2003, at Draught and Meat Animal Science Laboratory, Animal Agriculture Faculty, Diponegoro University. The research aimed to evaluate the influence of various dietary lysine on blood triglyceride, carcass fat percentage, fat contents of meat and meat cholesterol. A total of 50 rabbits were used in this experiment, consist: 25 female (average body weight of 1514 + 203 g) and 25 male (average body weight 1559 + 161 g). The treatments applied were various level of lysine in the diets as follows: TO: 0.60%, T I : 0.66%, T2: 0.72%, T3: 0.78%, and T4: 0.84%. The feed/stuff used in the diets: corn, bagasse flour, soybean meal, meat flour, and cassava flour, and L-Lysine 1-ICL as lysine resources. The experiment design used in the study was randomized complete block design with subsampling, 5 treatments and 2 sex groups, every group in each treatment consisted of 5 rabbits. Parameter measured were blood triglyceride, carcass fat percentage, fat contents of meat and cholesterol meat. Data gathered were analyzed using analysis of variants. Duncan multiple range test was used to know the difference among treatment means, while polynomial orthogonal used to determine the optimal level lysine. Result of the research indicated that levels lysine in the diet from 0.60 to 0.84%, did not influence blood triglyceride, carcass fat percentage and the fat contents of meat, but decreased meat cholesterol (P<0,05). Sex did not give effect in all of parameters perceived. Data recorded on blood triglyceride are T0= 191, T1=146, T2=139, T3=113 and T4=172 mg/dl, while carcass fat percentage are TO=7.70, T1=8.59, T2=9.13 and T4=10.34%. On the other hand, fat contents of meat at TO, Ti, T2, T3 and T4 are 12.0, 10.51, 12.37, 12.20 and 12.42% respectively, while meat cholesterol are T0=199.61, T1=189.82, T2=190.01, T3=184.65 and T4=179.38 mg/100g. The polynomial orthogonal test for meat cholesterol indicate that increasing level of lysine in the ration decreased cholesterol meat linearly (P<0,01). It can be concluded that increasing lysine level in the ration from 0.60 to 0,84% decreased cholesterol meat as high as 10.1%, but it did not alter blood triglyceride, carcass fat percentage and fat content of meat. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Agustus 2002 sampai Maret 2003, di Laboratorium Ilmu Makanan Ternak dan Laboratorium Ilniu Ternak Potong dan Kerja, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Diponegoro. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh peningkatan aras lisin dalam pakan terhadap kadar trigliserida darah, persentase lemak karkas, kadar lemak dan kolesterol daging. Materi yang digunakan adalah 50 ekor kelinci: yang terdiri dari 25 ekor kelinci betina (bobot badan 1514 + 203 g) dan 25 ekor kelinci jantan (bobot badan 1559 ± 161 g). Perlakuan yang diterapkan adalah ransum dengan aras lisin, TO: 0,60%, T1: 0,66%, T2: 0,72%, T3: 0,78% dan T4: 0,84%. Bahan .penyusun ransum terdiri dari: jagung giling, bagase (tepung ampas tebu), bungkil kedelai, tepung daging dan tapioka. Lisin yang ditambahkan adalah L lisin HCL. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok subsampling dengan 5 perlakuan dan 2 kelompok jenis kelamin. Setiap kelompok pada masing-masing perlakuan terdiri dari 5 ekor kelinci. Parameter yang diukur adalah kadar trigliserida darah, persentase lemak karkas, kadar lemak dan kolesterol daging. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis varians. Perbedaan antar perlakuan diuji dengan uji beda Duncan dan untuk menentukan perlakuan yang optimal digunakan uji lanjut polinomial ortogonal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan aras lisin dalam pakan dari 0,60 sampai 0,84%, tidak mempengaruhi kadar trigliserida darah, persentase lemak karkas dan kadar lemak daging, namun menurunkan kadar kolesterol daging (P<0,05). Pengelompokan betina dan jantan tidak memberikan efek yang berbeda pada semua parameter yang diamati. Rata-rata kadar trigliserida darah adalah TO=191, T1=146, T2=139, T3=113 dan T4=172 mg/dl, sedangkan persentase lemak karkas adalah TO = 7,70%, T1 =8,59%, T2 =9,13%, T3 = 9,51% dan T4 =10,34%. Rata-rata kadar lemak daging TO, T1, T2, T3 dan T4 berturut-turut 12,0, 10,51, 12,37, 12,20 dan 12,42%, sedangkan kadar kolesterol daging yaitu T0=199,61, T1=189,82, T2=190,01, T3=184,65, dan T4=179,38 mg/100g. Uji lanjut polinomial ortogonal menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi kadar lisin dalam pakan kadar kolesterol daging menurun secara linier (P<0,01). Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil setelah penelitian ini adalah peningkatan lisin dalam ransum dari 0,60 sampai 0,84% dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol daging sebesar 10,1%, namun tidak mengubah kadar trigliserida darah, persentase lemak karkas dan kadar lemak daging.
