Abstract

Background: The quality of spermatozoa is determined by its motility. Classification of .spermatozoa according to WHO categories: A, B, C, and D. ATP is needed by spermatozoa to move forward. Objective: To prove that-supplemented ATP could increase the motility of spermatozoa Design: This experimental research was designed as pre and posttest randomized control design study. Sample: Samples were obtained from 46 healthy people who fulfilled the inclusion criteria: 30 -45 years of age, normosperm, they did not consume alcohol, coffee and joint(' three days belbre the test Method: The sample were randomly divided into two groups, 23 samples each group. The first group was treated with ATP and the second group was kept without ATP. The motility of spermatozoa was measured before and 15 minutes after lug/ml ATP treatment They were grouped as A, B, C and D category according to WHO categories. Result: It was found in the study, ATP treatment could increase the motility quality of spermatozoa in-group A (p=0,008) and (p=-0.011) and also group D (p=0,002). No significant diffirence in motility quality wasfbund in-group C (p=0, 25). Conclusion: The semen treated by addingATP could increase the motility of spermatozoa. Key words: Motility Categoty A-B-C-D, ATP, spermatozoa. , Kualitas spermatozoa yang baik ditentukan pada motilitas spermatozoa. ATP sangat dibutuhkan sebagai sumber energi penggerak ekor spermatozoa. Penambahan ATP di dalam semen diharapkan mengakibatkan mekanisme perlekatan dinein dan mikrotubulus berlangsung lebih lama, sehingga dapat meningkatkan motilitas spermatozoa. DESAIN: experimental, randomized controle pre test and posttest design. Penguku ran : Mengukur motilitas menurut kategorinya A, B, C, dan D (WHO). Mat 'bilik Wider' Sam pel : 46 sampel pria dewasa yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi: pria usia 30-45 tahun, normospermia. Kriteria eksklusi: peminum alkohol, kopi, ekstrak jamu kuat lelaki. Metode: 46 sampel semen manusia dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok, masing-masing 23 sampel. Kelompok pertama ditambahkan ATP 7 µg/ml, dan kelompok yang lain tanpa penambahan ATP. Motilitas spermatozoa dihitung pada saat penambahan ATP dan 15 menit setelah penambahan ATP dengan menggunakan kriteria WHO. HASIL: Pada uji statistik, pada kelompok kategori A (p = 0,008), kategori B (p = 0,011), dan kategori D (p = 0,002) ada peningkatan motilitas yang bermakna dibandingkan kelompok tanpa penambahan ATP, sedangkan pada kelompok kategori C (p = 0,25), terjadi peningkatan motilitas, tetapi tidak bermakna dibanding kelompok C tanpa penambahan ATP. Simpulan: Pemberian ATP secara in-vitro dapat meningkatkan kualitas motilitas spermatozoa (kategori A dan B) Kata kunci : motilitas kategori A-B-C-D, spermatozoa, dinein.
