Abstract

This research was about a noise and hopefully gives a valuable input for determining the appropriate policy functioned as consideration to determine the line of street edge. This research was conducted in PT. Dwipa Indonesia KaryaGupta located on 5 kilometers of. Kaligawe street Semarang (155 m from three junction, there was en entrance to the Terboyo bus station). The front fence was made of wall distant in 21,6 m from the edge of Kaligawe Street Semarang and its height is 2,6 m. Near the company, there wais Sultan Agung High School, which is located on Kaligawe Km 4 Semarang (720 m from the entrance to Terboyo bus station). The fence of the school was made of BRC, which its height is 1,2 and assumed not to influence on the measure of noise level. In other words, there is no barrier. The application of double regression linear equation shows that the noise level wais not only influenced by vehicles traffic, vehicle velocity or wind velocity, but also influenced by other factors. In the equation, it was seen that the constant number derived was back round noise value in case that in the location there was no vehicle passing. The variables that influence much on the noise level are heavy vehicles (HV) 80,30 dBA; it was followed by the variable of wind velocity (VA) 79,51 dBA; vehicles velocity (VK) 75,68 dBA; light vehicles (LV) 72,94 dBA and motorcycle (MC) 69,74 dBA. To find out distance (X m) in accordance to the noise level (Y dBA) respectively, the equations bellow are used: The no barrier one uses the following equation: Y = 78,67 e4.`"" The barrier one uses the following equation: Y = 71,33 e-0.0044" The analysis shows that from the distance of 26 m from the edge of Kaligawe street, the noise level under 70 dBA was 69.98 dBA. Meanwhile, from the distance of 80 m from the edge of Kaligawe street, the noise level under 55 dBA was 54,89 dBA. By using the wall barrier height in 2,6 m, it was shown that from the distance of 5 m from the edge of Kaligawe street, the noise level under 70 dBA was 69.78 dBA. Meanwhile, from the distance of 60 m from the edge of Kaligawe street. the noise level under 55 dBA was 54,78 dBA.
