Abstract

The operational activity of a factory produced ammonia and urea need equipments such as turbine, compressor with cause noisy. The noise influence confortable and health, especially from the operational activity of factory equipments, whereas the operator (the employee who operates the factory equipments) is the environment component affected influence of increasing noise. The effeorts of restrain is needed in the factory environment of PT. Pupuk Kaltim which include restrain for employees and the factory environment. The noise measurement of the operational activity of factory in PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur Tbk have been conducted on March to April, 2004. Noise analysis done to identify the noisy source, noisy storey, level calculation of equivalen 24 clock (3 shift operate for the factory), paparan noise accepted by employees, and related to noisy cumulative faction calculation of administrative arrangement. Result shows that noise storey level generated by equipments in area of compressor house of factory Kaltim-1, Kaltim-2,Kaltim-3 and Kaltim-4 have abysmal assess the sill of noise boundary according to Ministrial of Labour Affair, Decree of number 51 year 1999 about the noise standard. Key words ; noise, compressor house amonia, PKT Bontang * Magister of environment ** 1st advisor *** 2nd advisor Dalam operasional pabrik yang memproduksi Amonia dan Urea memerlukan peralatan-peralatan produksi seperti turbin, compresor, yang dalam operasionalnya menimbulkan kebisingan. Kebisingan merupakan gangguan yang berpotensi mempengaruhi kenyamanan dan kesehatan terutama berasal dari kegiatan operasional peralatan pabrik, sedangkan operator (karyawan yang mengoperasikan peralatan pabrik) merupakan komponen lingkungan yang terkena pengaruh yang diakibatkan adanya peningkatan kebisingan. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan upaya pengendalian bising di lingkungan pabrik PT. Pupuk Kaltim yang mencakup pengendalian untuk karyawan dan juga untuk lingkungan sekitar pabrik. Telah dilakukan pengukuran tingkat kebisingan kegiatan operasional pabrik di PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur,Tbk pada bulan Maret — April 2004. Analisis kebisingan dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi sumber bising, perhitungan tingkat bising ekivalen 24 jam (3 shill operasi pabrik), paparan bising yang diterima oleh karyawan, dan perhitungan fraksi kumulatif bising dikaitkan dengan pengaturan administratif. Hasil analisis memperlihatkan bahwa tingkat kebisingan yang ditimbulkan oleh peralatan di area compressor house pabrik Kaltim-1, Kaltim-2, Kaltim-3, Kaltim-4 telah melampaui nilai ambang batas kebisingan menurut Keputusan Menteri Tenaga Kerja Nomor 51 Tahun 1999 tentang nilai ambang batas kebisingan Kata-kata kunci ; kebisingan, compressor house amonia, PKT Bontang *) Magister Ilmu Lingkungan, Universitas Diponegoro **) Pembimbing I ***) Pembimbing II
