FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGANDENGAN KEGAGALAN PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF DI WILAYAH BINAAN PUSKESMAS PADANGSARI, KECAMATAN BANYUMANIK, KOTA SEMARANG, TAHUN 2004

Abstract

Kegagalan pemberian ASI eksklusif di pengaruhi oleh faktor internal (pengetahuan ibu, pendidikan ibu, pekerjaan ibu, pendapatan keluarga dan penyakit ibu) dan faktor eksternal (promosi susu formula bayi,penolong persalinan).Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan faktor internal dan eksternal dengan kegagalan pemberian ASI eksklusif di wilayah binaan Puskesmas Padangsari, Kecamatan Banyumanik Kota Semarang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian penjelasan (explanatori research).Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan studi belah lintang (Cross Sectional).Populasi adalahibu yang memiliki balita usia 5-11 bulan ,sedangkan jumlah sampel 96 ibu.Proses analisa data pemakai program SPSS for windows release 11.0 dengan uji Chi Square (X2) dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar tingkat pengetahuan ibu adalah kurang baik (61,5%),pendidikan ibu (61,5%) adalah berpendidikan lanjut, status pekerjaan ibu (76%) adalah tidak bekerja, pendapatan keluarga (57,5%) adalah pendapatan sedang, penyakit ibu(66,7%) adalah tidak sakit pada saat menyusui 0-4 bulan, promosi susu formula bayi dan penolong persalinan (94,8%) adalah petugas kesehatan.Terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu, status pekerjaan ibu, promosi susu formula bayi dengan kegagalan pemberian ASI eksklusif dan tidak terdapat hubungan antara pendidikan ibu,pendapatan keluarga, penyakit ibu, dan penolong persalinan dengan kegagalan pemberian ASI eksklusif. Disarankan bahwa untuk lebih meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu tentang manfaat ASI dan ASI eksklusif dengan cara penyuluhan baik di posyandu,Puskesmas Padangsari dan sarana pelayanan swasta yang ada di wilayah binaan Puskesmas Padangsari dan di berlakukannya aturan yang tegas mengenai promosi susu formulabayi untuk menunjang keberhasilan Program Peningkatan Pemberian ASI Eksklusif. Kata Kunci: Faktor Internal,Faktor eksternal,ASI eksklusif THE FACTORS RELATED TO THE FAILURE GIVING EXCLUSIVE BREAST FEEDING FAILURE IN ESTABLING AREA OF PADANGSARI PUBLIC HEALTH CENTRE,IN BANYUMANIK DISTRICT,SEMARANG CITY,2004 The failure of the exclusive breast feeding is influenced by both internal (mother's knowledge,educational back ground,occupation ,family's revenueand desease)and external factors (baby's formula milk promotion,the delivery helper).The aim of this observation perform is to find out the relationship of the factors mentioned to the failure of the exclusive breast feeding in stabling area of Padangsari Public Health Center,in Banyumanik District,Semarang City. The form of the research done is on explanatory research. The methods applied is a cross sectional survey method.The population purposed are mothers who have 5-11 monts babies in range.the samples taken are 96 mothers.Analysis data process uses SPSS for windows release 11.0 program with Chi Square (x2) and 95% confidence level. The survey shows that most of the mothers knoledge (61,5%) isn't good enought, mothers education (61,5%)is education continue, mothers profetion are jobless,families revenue (57,5%)is the middle rate,for mothers desease (66,7%)is in good health condition when they are giving the breast feeding.There is relationship founded among the mothers knoledge, job status and canned baby milk promotion to the failure of giving the exclusive breast feeding and there isn't relationship founded for mothers education,family revenue,mothers desease and delivery helper to the failure of giving the exclusive breast feeding. It is advised to be are develop the mothers knoledge about advantages of the mom's milk and giving the exclusive mom's milk by giving a good education in integrated service post,in Padangsari PublicHealth Centre and the private service media founded in stabling area of Padangsari Public Health Centre moreover about the strict role applied for canned baby milk to support the success of the improvement for the giving of the exclusive breast feeding.
