ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR PENENTU KEBERHASILAN DALAM IMPLEMENTASI PAKET SISTEM ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING (ERP) UNTUK MENCAPAI KEUNGGULAN BERSAING PERUSAHAAN

Abstract

Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menguji faktor-faktpr yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan implementasi ERP dalam memenangkan keunggulan bersaing. Penggunaan variable-variabel tersebut dengan alasan hasil penelitian terdahulu, yaitu: Sum, Ang dan Yeo (1997); Martinsons and Westwood, (1997); Weston, R, (1998); Duchessi, et al. (1998); Holland Et al., (1999); Sumner, (1999) dan Zhang, Lee, Banerjee (2002), yang menemukan pengaruh langsung Dukungan Manajemen Puncak, Projek Manajemen yang efektif, Business Process Reengineering (BPR), Pemilihan perangkat lunak dan perangkat keras, Pendidikan dan Pelatihan, dan Dukungan Vendor terhadap keberhasilan implementasi ERP dan pengaruh keberhasilan implementasi ERP terhadap keunggulan bersaing. Penggunaan variabel-variabel tersebut dapat memecahkan permasalahan dalam menentukan implementasi aplikasi software ERP pada khususnya dan implementasi IT pada umumnya di Indonesia, yaitu implementasi sistem ERP sangat mahal. Harga perangkat lunaknya mahal, begitu juga biaya-biaya lain seperti biaya untuk konsultasi. bisa lebih mahal lagi Anggaran pembelanjaan tahunan dunia atas sistem ERP dalam tahun 1990-an diperkirakan sebesar US$ 10 milyar untuk perangkat lunak dan sebesar US$ 10 milyar untuk instalasi perangkat lunak oleh konsultan (Davenport, 1998). Sampel penelitian ini adalah pemakai / user pada perusahaan yang sedang atau pernah melakukan implementasi sistem ERP, sejumlah 120 orang. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) yang dijalankan dengan perangkat lunak AMOS, digunakan untuk menganalisis data, Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Dukungan Manajemen Puncak, Projek Manajemen yang efekti Business Process Reengineering (BPR), Pemilihan perangkat lunak dan perangkat keras, Pendidikan dan Pelatihan, dan Dukungan Vendor berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keberhasilan implementasi ERP, dan keberhasilan implementasi ERP berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keunggulan bersaing. Banyak bukti yang kuat bahwa proyek implementasi sistem ERP tidak dapat diselesaikan tepat pada waktunya dan sesuai dengan anggaran yang ada (Parr, Shanks and Darke, 1999) dan juga dilaporkan secara lengkap bahwa implementasi ERP banyak mengalami kegagalan (James, 1997). Namun penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan implementasi ERP, pemakai / user pada perusahaan yang sedang atau pernah melakukan implementasi sistem ERP harusnya memperhatikan faktor-faktor seperti Dukungan Manajemen Puncak, Projek Manajemen yang efektif, Business Process Reengineering (BPR), Pemilihan perangkat lunak dan perangkat keras, Pendidikan dan Pelatihan, dan Dukungan Vendor, karena faktor-faktor tersebut terbukti mempengaruhi tinggi rendahnya keberhasilan implementasi ERP. Implikasi teoritis dan saran-saran bagi penelitian mendatang juga diuraikan pada bagian akhir dalam penelitian ini The purpose of this research is to test the influences of factors toward efficacy of implementation ERP and it's effect to improvement of competitive advantage. The variables use earn to solve the problem of determining implementation of application of software ERP especially and implementation IT of generally in Indonesia, that is system implementation of Very costly ERP. price of software is costly, so also the other; dissimilar costs such as expense for the consultancy. can be costlier again. Annual expenditure budget of world for system ERP in year 1990- an estimated by equal to US$ 10 billion for the software and equal to US$ 10 billion for installation of software by consultant ( Davenport, 1998). The samples of this research consisted of a hundred and twenty wearer / user of company which is or have conducted system implementation of ERP. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was run by an AMOS software for data analysis. The result of the analysis showed that Top management support, Effective Project Management, Business Process Reengineering (BPR), Choose of Software and Hardware, Education and Vendor's Support contributes an positive influence, which is significant to efficacy of implementation ERP, and efficacy of implementation ERP contributes an positive influence, which is significant to competitive advantage. A lot of strong evidence that project of system implementation of ERP cannot be finished on time and as according to existing budget (Parr, Shanks And Darke, 1999) as well as reported completely that implementation ERP a lot of experiencing of failure (James, 1997). But this research indicated that to increase efficacy of implementation ERP, wearer/user at company which is or have conducted system implementation of ERP ought to pay attention to factors such as Top management support, Effective Project Management, Business Process Reengineering (BPR), Choose of Software and Hardware, Education and Vendor's Support, since proven to the factors influence efficacy of implementation ERP. Theoritical implications and suggestions for future research have been elaborated at the end of this study.
