ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI STRUKTUR MODAL PERUSAHAAN (Studi kasus pada perusahaan manufaktur yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Jakarta)

Abstract

This research was aimed at analyzing some factors or variables influing the firm of capital structure, especiallythat of the go public manufactures registred in the Jakarta Stock Exchange, within the periode of 1999-2001. The variable being analyzed were firm size, profitability, growth, fixed assets ratio and age. The method for analyzing the data was pooled time series models of multiple regression. The research models applied was a modification of the prefious reserches conducted by Titman and Wessel (1988), Theis and Klock (1992), Homaifar and Benkato (1994), Gosh and Li (2000), Ozkan (2001) In conclution this research revealed that three out of five variables being analyzed indicated significant influence on the decision of firm capital structure.the variables influing significanly on the decision of the firm capital structure were Size, Profitability and fixed assets ratio. Two variabels prove to have no influence on the firm capital structure. There are Growth and age. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor atau variabel- variabel yang mempengaruhi struktur modal perusaham khususnya adalah perusahaan manufakture yang sudah go publik dan terdaftar di Bursa Efek Jakarta per tahun 1999 sampai dengan 2001. Variabel yang di teliti adalah firm size, profitability, growth, fixed assets ratio and age. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda (multiple regression) dengan model pooled time series. Model penelitian ini merupakan modifikasi dari penelitia-penelitian sebelumnya yang dilakukan oleh Titman and Wessel (1988), Theis and Klock (1992), Homaifar and Benkato (1994), Gosh and Li (2000), Ozkan (2001) Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada 3 variabel dari 5 variabel yang teliti mengindikasikan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan struktur modal perusahan. Variabel-variael yang .terbukti berpengaruh secara signifikan adalah Size, Profitability and fixed assets ratio. Sedangkan dua variabel lainnya terbukti tidak signifikan adalahg Growth and age.
