Abstract

ABUN DJANI BANGKO HOSPITAL,MERANGIN DISTRICT, JAMBI PROPIVINCE Problem related to birth born with low weight still becomes the main cause of perinatal illness and death. This incident can be solved efficiently with prevention efforts when the factors relates to low weighted babies are known. This research has an aim to know the relation between factors that influence the born babies'weight, they are: Mothers' age,the delivery range, the frequency of pregnancy examination, parity, nutrient status and Hb degree of born babies weight. This research is an explanatory research with an approach of cross sectional since all of its variable were collected at the same time. The research population is the average babies born in the midwifery room at Kol. Abun Djani Hospital, Merangin Regency, jambi Province per month and there were 35 babies,The sample involved 32 babies, but in realization the sample involved 50 babies. This research used the Pearson Product momeTest for the respondents' age,the frequency of pregnancy examination, the Hb degree of pregnant women, and born babies'weight variables. while for the delivery range, parity, and nutrient status variables used The Chi Square Test. The resulth shows that there are causation relathionships between the mothers'age, the delivery range, the frequency of pregnancy examination, parity nutrient status, and the Hb degree of pregnant women at the third semeter to the born babies' weight. Most the sample, 62% born normal weighted babies and 38,0% born low weighted babies. Respondents with normal Hb degree number in 48,0% and the group which has low risks to deliver a baby is 48%.
